We’re excited to welcome Mountain Valley Volunteer V134 to the Mawarra Genetics sire team.

MV Volunteer was selected for his combination of structural soundness, natural muscle, volume and balance, along with an outcross pedigree that complements our breeding program.

By Quamby Plains Quantum Q506 and from Mountain Valley Mayflower Q011, Volunteer combines phenotype with performance, ranking in the top 5% for all growth traits and the top 10% for both Milk (+25) and Eye Muscle Area (+6.8).

We are particularly impressed by his overall quality, beautiful head, eye and skin, and the natural lift and structure we like.

He has a strong set of EBVs and he’ll fit really well into our operation. We’ve got some Ultra Star R182 daughters he’ll go well over.

We’re excited to see MV Volunteer’s influence across the herd and look forward to following his progeny in the seasons ahead!
